JOB SUMMARY
Provide clerical and analytical assistance to the Division Director and general office support for all administrative and technical functions of the Council - Tax Administration Office including but not limited to Board of Equalization (BOE) issues, Property Tax Committee (PTC) issues, and tax relief issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of experience in a field closely related to these duties; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Preference given to those with Real Estate experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides administrative, clerical and technical support to the Council Tax Administration Office and staff members.
Provides information on policies, procedures, services, ordinances, and application requirements to agencies, other employees, and to the public. Adjust standard procedures independently to resolve conflicts in priorities, methods, and/or instructions.
Research county records through various programs and provide additional information to the Board as requested.
Oversees development of GIS comp mapping documents, maintains network files, and reviews docs for accuracy.
Assists the PTC in receiving and screening requests, preparing agendas, taking and transcribing minutes for monthly meeting.
Collects, coordinates, researches, and organizes materials for projects and training.
Receives and processes requests for division review by examining documents and researching claims.
Establishes and maintains essential channels of communications within the division and to agencies within the County.
Performs computations or tabulations of data. Creates new and revises existing spreadsheets.
Drafts Board letters detailing actions of the PTC for approval by County Council.
Researches property tax issues, including waiver of penalty and interest request and prepares recommendations.
