Production Associate Job Description

Produce the energy transition

Driving the energy transformation is critical to reducing climate change. To limit climate risks, it is necessary to reduce the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere.

Help us drive energy transformation on a production basis, performing moderate mechanical assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A ssembling structures according to engineering specifications, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools .

Hexagon Agility is a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions in the transport sector.  Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments – such as trucks and buses – to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.

We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our local operations team.

Duties (other duties may be assigned)

  • Ability to verify type of valves via BOM and IFS per cylinder

  • Ability to read the weekly production schedule by product line

  • Ability to be forklift certified

  • Pull cylinders FIFO from outside in via forklift to per production schedule

  • Keep inventory of cylinder valves and other area materials

  • Maintain area 5s daily

  • Install required valves to cylinders per daily schedule

  • Deliver cylinders to each product line as needed to meet daily goals

  • Assist in other areas when requested

  • Report material or schedule issues via email

  • Attention to detail and quality a must

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Candidates should have 2 year s related mechanical assembly experience preferably in an automotive or aerospace environment ; or carpentry experience.

  • Must understand fastening systems, torque, measurements tools and other assembly techniques.

  • Comfortable with hand and power tools.  

  • Must know how to use different tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a n area of a production line.

  • Must have previous experience/ability to read engineering drawings.

    Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    Physical Demands:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
