Aerotek Electrician in Salisbury, Maryland

Job Description

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements. Tasks also include maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits. They will conduct insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required. The role involves supervising and participating in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems in our manufacturing facility, maintaining adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisitioning replacements as required. Maintenance of electrical system histories, noting date, and extent of repairs and/or alterations is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting of electrical equipment and circuits

  • Maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits

  • Insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables

  • Supervising and participating in the installation and/or alteration to electrical systems

  • Maintaining inventories of electrical spare parts

  • Maintaining electrical system maintenance histories

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends

  • Flexibility with work hours ranging from 40-55 hours per week depending on the amount of work

  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with complex odors
