Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness has a new and exciting opportunity for an Associate Systems Analyst in Salisbury, MD . This position will be responsible for the researching, creating and modification of custom programs or changes and configuring package systems. Assists in preparing detailed specification from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debug documents and maintain those programs.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Acquires knowledge of existing applications for troubleshooting and user questions to be an asset to the user community.
Codes, tests, configure and documents programs and systems from detailed specifications using the systems development methodology (SDM) and structured programming practices to produce reliable programs.
Works as a team member in the development, enhancement and support of applications that meet or exceed customer requirements
Maximizes use of available technology to enhance and improve business processes.
Maintains technical proficiency by training and using the latest techniques in developing and maintaining systems.
Minimum Education
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience in Information Systems or Computer Science
Experience Requirements
Requires knowledge in computer analysis and programming, systems development methodology, project management, customer and communication skills
Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a team environment
Rotating twenty-four hour systems support is required
Experience Preferred
- Knowledge in VB.NET, Desktop and Windows support, batch/command files, Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, Python, Dataiku, and Power BI.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
