Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Salinas, California
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team situated in Salinas, California. This role plays a crucial part in our Manufacturing industry operations by ensuring all invoices are handled promptly and effectively. This long-term contract role involves administrative tasks, invoice processing, expense monitoring, and record-keeping for tax purposes.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Provide administrative and clerical support as needed in the role
• Maintain comprehensive records for tax purposes
• Monitor company expenses and report discrepancies
• Utilize skills in General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Sage 100 to perform duties
• Ensure all bills are paid in a timely and efficient manner
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them promptly
• Process customer credit applications with precision
• Keep track of customer credit records to ensure accuracy
• Take appropriate action on monitoring customer accounts. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Accounts Payable Specialist or similar position within the manufacturing industry
• Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work with General Ledger accounting systems
• Proficiency in using Sage 100 accounting software
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and regulatory standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
