TRAFFIC CONTROL LABORER\ *Public Works/Traffic Control\ Temporary/ Seasonal\ *

*Duties & Responsibilities:\ * Traffic Device Maintenance & Installation: Participates in the installation, maintenance, & repair of traffic control devices such as stop signs, yield signs, & traffic signals to ensure they meet safety standards & are visible to the public.\ \ Roadway Marking: Assists in painting & repainting road markings including crosswalks, parking lot lines, & traffic arrows to enhance road usage clarity & promote pedestrian safety.\ \ Sign Replacement & Visibility: Works on the replacement of worn or damaged traffic signs & ensure their proper positioning & visibility for road users, contributing to the overall safety & navigability of city streets.\ \ Traffic Management Support: Provides support for traffic management during city events, construction projects, & road repairs, including setting up traffic cones, barricades, & temporary signage to safely guide vehicle & pedestrian movements.\ \ Equipment Operation & Care: Operates a variety of tools & machinery used in traffic control tasks, including paint machines, drills, & saws, while ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained & stored.
Education:Eighth grade graduate minimum.
Requirements:Must possess valid drivers license; must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Hours:JuneAugust, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.4:00 p.m.
Pay:\$13.00/hr. EOE
