Position Overview:

Distribution employees are assigned tasks within the normal operation of a distribution center. The assigned tasks are repetitive in nature and acceptable proficiency can normally be attained within a few days. One is normally assigned to a specific task’s area within the production flow of the garments. The various task’s areas are explained separately. Due to varying warehouse production requirements incumbents may be instructed by a member of the management team to assume tasks not normally assigned to the incumbent.

Essential Functions:

All positions in the plant require the following:

  • Perform the assigned tasks in a proficient manner. This includes attaining a minimum of 100% of the production standard for tasks for which production standards have been established.

  • Maintain high quality standards on all work performed. Inspect all materials for damage or excessive wear and properly report the findings to the appropriate responsible person for resolution.

  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work area. Immediately report all broken or malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the appropriate person for corrective action.

  • Follow all company and work rules. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

Descriptions of various tasks in the plant:

Workflow Coordinator

  • Help with any and all inventory adjustments for holds, problem ilpns, olpns, active locations, reserve locations.

  • Wave order in WMOS

  • Bridge orders from Phast to WMOS

  • Receiving and bridge 9989 orders for VAS

  • Assist and backup DC Functions such as stocking and picking

  • Assist and backup VAS Functions such as special orders and running machines

  • Assist and help with bol for LTL freight

Shipping/Receiver

  • Create and maintain customer database & maintain various reports/spreadsheets

  • Interface with AUCA internal customers

  • Assist customer service by tracking packages/shipments

  • Perform general clerical duties

  • Package by hand a wide variety of products and materials for shipment.

  • Use hand or mail handling machines to time stamp, open, sort, and route merchandise

  • Duties may also include keeping necessary records and completed forms.

  • Maintains department quality and production standards.

  • Daily/weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed

  • Must perform all tasks in a timely and accurate manner

  • Perform other duties as assigned\

Picker

  • Process online orders. Pick merchandise as specified by RF Device.In the event of stock-outs, follow dept. procedures in getting replenishment.

  • Pick accurately in a timely manner under a time based incentive system.Proactively seek other ways to be productive or seek out Supervisor for direction in doing so.

  • Perform the assigned tasks in a proficient manner. This includes attaining a minimum of 100% of the production standard for tasks for which production standards have been established.Maintain high quality standards on all work performed. Inspect all materials for damage and properly report the findings to the appropriate responsible person for resolution.Maintain a clean and hazard free work area, including the removal of corrugated. Immediately report all broken or malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the appropriate person for corrective action.Follow all company and work rules. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have good communication skills.Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible.

Stocker

  • Stocking active pick locations with the product and disposing corrugate.

  • Stock accurately in a timely manner under a time-based incentive system.

  • Using a pallet jack, moves pallets of stock to locations around the floor to most efficiently work from.

  • Using a razor knife, cuts cases open according to dept standards.

  • Brings any nonconforming cases to the front to be logged and adjusted.

  • Proactively seek other ways to be productive or seek out Supervisor for direction in doing so.

Working Environment:

Exposure to adverse temperatures which may include extreme hot or cold. The following physical activities are required: lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance. Tight deadlines that may require overtime are required. Overtime may be required. Notification of overtime may occur the same day that the overtime is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs 8-10hrs in a day

  • If applicable - Able to be forklift certified

  • RF scanner experience preferred

  • Computer experience to include Microsoft Office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to multi-task

  • Detail oriented

  • Good organizational skills

  • Excellent attendance and performance

  • Able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed
