Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly competent Dental Hygienist with excellent interpersonal communication skills to work at our new dental office with state-of-the-art equipment and furnishing.

Location: West Salem Clinic; 1233 Edgewater Street, Salem OR 97034

Job Status: Full-time, 40 hrs./wk., Monday - Thursday

Sign-Bonus : $5,000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.)

Referral Bonus: $1000 (Referral bonus’ expire at the close of this job posting.)

YOUR ROLE:

As a Dental Hygienist you will provide direct patient care from a Trauma Informed Care perspective which includes cleaning of teeth, root surface, and care of gums.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Provides information and education to patient and family members regarding hygienic practices.

  • Confers with dentist on patient care strategies.

  • Maintains dental records on all patients in accordance with organizational policy.

  • Maintains operatories clean; disinfects operatories prior to each patient.

  • Ensures that vacuum lines, unit, chair, light, instruments, and tray setups are thoroughly disinfected and properly sterilized and in accordance with established protocols.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered dental hygienist licensed to practice in the State of Oregon

  • Ability to work with patients of diverse backgrounds and cultures

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

  • Previous experience preferred
