Design Checker (AutoCAD) - Salem, Ohio - JOB 24-00404 Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits. A busy original equipment manufacturer located in the Salem area is seeking to add a Checker -- Senior level to their team. Key duties are to review and check heavy machinery and structural drawings used for manufacturing. Verify accuracy of each drawing to include form/fit/function as well as ease of fabrication. Requirements: • Associate degree or equivalent experience • Several years of experience with mechanical design/drafting using AutoCAD. • Must be knowledgeable on all machining and welded fabrication practices and methods. • Must have an eye for detail and experience with standard checking techniques. • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment. Responsibilities: • Review drawings and designs. • Review calculations to determine that the calculations match the detailed part. • Verify that designed and detailed parts match the fit, finish and dimensions. • Verify assembly drawings and bill of materials are complete and accurate. • Ensure that the detailed design is functional and can be fabricated without difficulty.
