Position Overview: This Payroll Specialist position is responsible for every aspect of Time keeping for Technicians and processing payroll for all employees at the local level of the organization. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The Payroll Specialist strives to provide exemplary service to internal or external customers at all levels while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness for any task. What You Will Do * Daily Time checking for Technicians on jobs/projects. * Timely entering of weekly payroll & PTO tracking. * Processing payroll, taxes, deductions, Per diem, commissions, and OT weekly. * Maintain all employee files with Confidentiality. * Processing timely new hire, insurance, disciplinary, and termination paperwork. * Complete any Insurance related transactions at local or corporate level as needed. * Daily, weekly, & monthly journal entries as appropriate. * Basic training or trouble shooting of software access for Technicians. * Communication to local staff regarding any changes related to Payroll, Insurance, Ect. Minimum Qualifications * Excel & other office software application experience required. * Payroll & light HR knowledge required. * Ability to maintain confidentiality a must at all levels, at all times. * Basic understanding of filing methods. * Extremely detail oriented and high level of organization. * Problem solving skills are a must. * Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. * Willingness to assist other office staff to help accomplish tasks. Preferred Qualifications * Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing environment. * Evenly tempered, understands audience when communicating. * Team player mentality and attitude.
