Date Posted: September 17, 2021 Department: 34009931 Pain Management Clinic Shift: Day (United States of America) Hours Per Week: 40 Union Contract: Non-Union Weekend Rotation: None Job Summary: Collaborates with lead provider(s) in the shared accountability for daily operations and overall clinic performance. In primary care clinics, supports the delivery of care at one or more large clinics that supports more than 80,000 annual visits, a combination of equal to or greater than 25 primary care and specialties providers, and more than 50 primary care staff. In specialty clinics, supports the delivery of care at two or more free standing or hospital based clinics that support more than 15,000 annual clinic and hospital visits, more than 15 specialty providers, and 20 or more specialty staff. Job Description: Principle Responsibilities Leadership Recruits, selects and on-boards staff, leaders and providers. Manages staff and leaders' performance. Works with dyad leader to communicate and engage staff, leaders, and providers in key initiatives. Ensures staff are appropriately trained and operating within in scope and at the top of their licensure. Ensures staff and providers have equipment, tools and resources to do their work. Maintains an understanding of daily functions to ensure delivery on all accountabilities and tasks. Identifies and communicates needs and/or changes that affect the work and escalates as appropriate. Analyzes and acts on employee engagement data. Maintains a strong presence, demonstrating awareness and involvement in clinic activities. Patient experience, continuous improvement and quality Understands and acts on patient experience survey data as appropriate. Rounds on staff, providers and patients. Empowers and trains staff to resolve patient concerns and create a mindset of service recovery. Accountable for staff patient experience performance, and share accountability with dyad partner for overall willingness to recommend survey dimension. Partners with lead physician to deliver results on provider patient experience performance. Creates a culture of continuous improvement with staff empowered to identify waste and develop solutions. Understands and applies change management and improvement methodology. Share accountability of quality goals with dyad partner and supports staff development to ensure achievement of quality goals and objectives. Partners with dyad partner to leverage care integration strategies and ensure seamless patient care. Financial Accountable for management of clinic financials, managing operating expenses, and productivity for overall clinic performance. Proactively reviews reports to assess and problem solve to align operating expenses and productivity. Identifies and plans for future capital needs and growth in partnerships with regional director. Ensures proper revenue cycle management workflows are in place and maintained. Partners with lead physician to manage provider productivity. Safety, risk management, compliance Accountable with dyad partner to lead and develop a culture of safety and focus on High Reliability Organization. Ensures adherence to all safety, risk, and compliance policies and procedures. Observes drills as appropriate to gauge level of preparedness and proactively addresses gaps. Other duties as assigned.
