As the ED, Career Strategy & Partnerships, you will build on our progress to lead this organizational initiative by developing overarching strategy for our careers work, facilitating cross-programmatic connections, and leading the College Board's external agenda in the career education space. In this role, you will: Lead and facilitate cross-enterprise careers strategy. * Work with program, functional leaders, and Executive Leadership Team to set, drive, and track ambitious goals aligned with strategic/programmatic priorities and support them to meet those goals. * Align, connect, and inform cross-programmatic priorities and product strategy. * Explore new opportunities and markets to increase value proposition of College Board programs via careers/workforce. Own and lead strategy for shared careers/workforce partnerships * Set vision and approach for how to build up employer networks and diversify workforce champions for new and existing programs. * Manage or support others to manage key employer and workforce partnerships and ensure strategic engagement across programmatic needs. * Work with the College Board's membership team to include workforce/employer partners and more deeply engage community colleges in our membership. Lead College Board's external agenda in workforce/careers * Represent College Board's career-relevant portfolio at high-profile workforce events. * Work with program and Communications/Marketing to clarify brand strategy and voice in new workforce space, including elevating College Board as career education experts. * Train field staff and keep internal stakeholders informed on the College Board's careers initiatives. * Develop understanding of market intelligence and communicate to key stakeholders. Manage two direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional leads to implement, sustain, and strengthen careers investments. * Manage two staff members, one who leads our program work for BigFuture and the SAT Suite and another who manages much of our partnerships work. * Serve as a coach and guide to career programs and consult on key decisions. * Work with programs and field staff to determine sales strategy for careers-focused offerings. * Work with policy team to ensure an aligned policy agenda, particularly in key states, that supports programmatic goals and objectives. Work with research team to develop and pursue learning agenda to measure and improve our work. About you, you have: * Strong ability to set vision and direction and drive impact across a large organization - you make things happen in professional and academic settings. * Outstanding knowledge of emerging trends, best practices, and a deep network in workforce/career education * Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions. * Superb ability to build relationships and influence others to action. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to large groups and in high-visibility settings. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, across lines of difference. * Experienced manager with a track record of helping team members succeed and grow. * A passion for continuous learning and improvement, and ability to support others to grow together. * A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students. About the Process * Application submission window will begin immediately and will be accepted through February 9, 2024. As a self-sustaining non-profit, we believe in compensating employees equitably in relation to each other, their qualifications, their impact, and the relevant market. The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $180,000 to $220,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary. Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
