TKDA Civil Engineering Technician - Highway Design in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Our employee-owned and integrated team of multi-disciplined engineering and design professionals is looking for a CAD Designer / Technician who is excited to acquire experience supporting the design of various transportation projects. As a member of our team, you will work alongside other professionals to develop designs for highways, interchanges, roundabouts, and other roadway features in coordination with a multi-discipline team that also includes Traffic, Utility, and Water Resource Engineering. Flexible work arrangements will be provided (3 days in office / 2 days WFH). Required Qualifications Associate's Degree or Certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field. Previous experience or formal training CADD design/drafting (using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ORD). Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to participate in project team meetings and interact directly with clients and technical professionals on a frequent basis. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Advantageous Qualifications Thorough understanding of drafting techniques, plan development, quantity takeoffs, and related engineering practices. Previous coursework or project assignments with an emphasis on roadway / highway design. Experience in the development of project deliverables including geometric layouts, design plans, and/or the generation and use of 3-dimensional design models.
