Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and entering invoices, maintaining accurate records, and managing purchase orders. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and enter vendor invoices in a timely manner

• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date

• Resolve customer credit inquiries and issues efficiently, providing high-quality customer service

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly, identifying and addressing any irregularities

• Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all numeric data is accurate

• Manage and process purchase orders, ensuring all orders align with company policies and procedures

• Prepare and maintain journal entries, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed in a timely manner

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management

• Ability to enter and manage vendor invoices effectively

• Experience in making journal entries with accuracy

• Knowledge of data entry, particularly numeric data entry

• Familiarity with the process of creating and managing purchase orders

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of accounting

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
