BIOZYME, INCORPORATED Maintenance Administrator- Easton in Saint Joseph, Missouri
Purpose The Maintenance Technician is to provide mechanical, technical, and hands-on maintenance support to process and production operations. This role will also be responsible for accurate reporting of all work performed.
Accountabilities
- Provide technical troubleshooting and training in the setup and operation of production equipment including all aspects of mechanical systems such as: Steam traps, Heat exchangers, Valves, Pressure valves, Pumps, Motors, Bearings, Dryers, VFDs, Bioreactors, Agitators, Seals
- Provide basic electrical troubleshooting and maintenance support of instruments and controls
- Hands on trouble shooting requiring root cause failure analysis, PMs, testing, repairs, and modifying/improving equipment
- Provide practical and proactive problem-solving skills
- Record all maintenance actives in the maintenance work order system
- Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work
- Organize and maintain accurate spare parts inventory
- Calibrate and maintain equipment to manufactures specifications
- Diagnose and test malfunctioning equipment and discuss plan to restore full operation
- Prepare maintenance reports
- Willing and able to work off hours, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
- Follow all standard operating procedures as well as requirements set by SFSF, NASC and FAMI-QS
- Manage time for most effective way to utilize it for accountable growth
- Know one's culture index and utilize daily in all aspects of work
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics code
- Participates in team huddles and CONNECTS
- Compliant with all PPE policies
- Completes all checklists as required
- Notifies management of any material issues
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude during all aspects of work including emails, phone calls, and peer interactions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs
- Ability to: climb, lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, and twist
- Ability to: use tools and equipment to repair and provide maintenance while standing, crouching, stretching, and extending extremities, potentially under extreme work conditions and/or environment from exposed heights
- Able to calibrate and maintain equipment to manufacturers specifications
- Able to change priorities as needed to support immediate needs of plant operations, and complete scheduled maintenance activities
- Able to demonstrate practical problem-solving skills
- Able to record all maintenance activities in the Maintenance Work Order system
- Demonstrated knowledge of repairing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss plan to restore to full operation with key facility personnel
- Experience with organizing and maintaining an accurate spare parts inventory
- Good understanding of PLC controls
- Good understanding of boiler operations Industrial experience in electrical and mechanical support functions
- Maintain the proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
- Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components
- Prepare maintenance reports for management as directed
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience and strong knowledge of hand and power tool usage
- Working knowledge of three-phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces and National Electrical Code

- HS Diploma
Required work experiences
- Preferred Training- technical school (welding, HVAC, electrical, machining, etc.)
Skills
- Technical training in essential skills such as electrical, welding, precisio machining, HVAC is a plus
- Continue to grow maintenance and leadership skillsets through assigned training
