Job Description:

This position will report into the Senior National Manager, Business Insurance TDI Affinity Market Group.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a trusted Insurance advisor to leadership teams across the enterprise as a SME and act as a "face of TD Insurance" and key liaison between TD Insurance and the Business Community.

  • Develop and lead the execution of Business Insurance Business Development Strategy. Accountable for amplifying the TD Insurance brand and the growth of businesses GWP portfolios – by deepening and fostering new relationships and driving new to TDI business.

  • Amplifying the TD Insurance brand requires the successful candidate to have a solid understanding of community investment and impact; and strong connections in the Business community. Developing and maintaining key relationships with clients and COIs within the community.

  • Deepening customer relationships and acquiring new to TDI business in the Business Community will require the incumbent to build and leverage internal and external networks as well as manage the market via involvement in the community.

  • Assist in developing a best in class distribution model focusing on a superior customer experience and insurance advice at every interaction

  • Work with multiple internal business partners across the organization.

  • Comfortable presenting on behalf of TD Insurance at external events and leading educational Workshops for Business Owners.

Job Requirements

  • Strong background in Insurance, and Business Development

  • Strong sales management, business development and relationship management skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders/business partners to influence others and gain consensus

  • Strong people management and coaching abilities

  • Proven track record of executing with excellence

  • Organized and able to effectively manage multiple project and priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically while executing on day to day priorities

  • Ability to confidently and professionally work with colleagues at all levels, including executives

  • Results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), impact and influence skills to have impact with multiple stakeholders across multiple business lines

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter and can work independently or as part of a team

  • Responsible for growing the Business Insurance Portfolio.

Additional Information

  • An undergraduate business degree or a combination of another post-secondary education and relevant work experience is strongly encouraged.

  • Insurance License is preferred but not required.
