Clean and prepare sites, Clean debris, rubble and waste materials. Operate a variety of hand tools, including but not limited to: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers. Smooth or finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers.
Types of projects or environments: patios, driveways and sidewalks and poured concrete walls which may be residential or commercial. Job sites include residential homes and commercial\ locations.\ Air hammers and Earth tampers: Air hammers will be used to break apart old concrete patios and walkways. Earth tampers will be used to create a sturdy and flat foundation before pouring concrete on patios, driveways and sidewalk/walkways.\ Materials mixed: to make concrete, workers will mix water, cement and aggregate.
