Job Title: Welder and Grinder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Grinder to join our team. The successful candidate will be proficient in assigned welding techniques, capable of interpreting mechanical drawings, and experienced with various steel alloys, aluminum, and exotic materials. This role requires a strong understanding of welding equipment, fixtures, and set-up parameters, as well as the ability to perform finish grinding applications using both manual and power tools.
Responsibilities
Proficiently execute assigned welding techniques.
Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism.
Apply knowledge of wire and filler materials for various steel alloys, aluminum, and exotic materials.
Set up and maintain fixtures and weld parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
Utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments.
Conduct process inspections, certifications, and documentation.
Maintain welding equipment.
Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
Run machinery and cut pipes.
Grind parts as needed.
Perform burning operations and use tape measures accurately.
Show initiative and drive in daily tasks.
Cross-train in various functions.
Plasma cutting experience is a plus.
Pipe cutting experience is required.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in assigned welding techniques.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
Knowledge of wire and filler materials for various metals.
Experience with welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
Skilled in using conventional and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to perform finish grinding with manual and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in plasma cutting is an advantage.
Required experience in pipe cutting.
Skills in cutting, grinding, fitting, welding.
General labor and machine operating experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37400.00 - $41600.00
