Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
Responsible for set-up and operation of high quality, clean, and burr-free product using MAZAK (Mazatrol programming) lathe/turning machines. The role involves loading, touching off, monitoring tool performance, manual de-burring, and program editing. The CNC Machinist must hold tolerances meeting all blueprint specifications and perform offset changes, de-burr work in process using hand de-burring tools and/or buffing wheels, and accurately document measurements throughout a run. The machinist will follow a work center schedule, meet agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner, and maintain satisfactory 5-S housekeeping and organization throughout the shop. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as punctual attendance, is essential.
Responsibilities
Set-up and operate MAZAK (Mazatrol programming) lathe/turning machines
Load, touch off, monitor tool performance, and perform manual de-burring
Edit programs and perform offset changes to meet blueprint specifications
De-burr work in process using hand de-burring tools and/or buffing wheels
Accurately document measurements throughout a run
Follow a work center schedule and meet agreed-upon goals and objectives
Maintain satisfactory 5-S housekeeping and organization throughout the shop
Work independently and as part of a team, depending on the task
Arrive to work, meetings, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
Essential Skills
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency with micrometers and calipers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with CNC MAZAK
Experience with CNC Mazatrol programming
Experience setting up Haas Mill
Experience working with Kitamura machines

Work Environment
The Machine Shop has about 15 CNC Machines along with a few manual Mills. Each CNC 'cell' includes a machine, a whiteboard for posting Job Orders/Details, a Toolbox, and cleaning supplies. The shop is well-organized, spacious, well-lit, and kept extremely clean, ensuring a comfortable and efficient work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
