Army National Guard Units AERIAL DELIVERY SPECIALIST TRAINING LEADER (T32) in Saginaw, Texas

Summary This position is located within the G4 at ADSF #2, Saginaw, TX. The primary purpose of this position is to instruct and lead Aerial Delivery Specialists, WG-5201-10, and performs the related duties of the Aerial Delivery Specialist position. In addition to training the Aerial Specialist, the position is responsible for training all state ARNG who are involved in the functions of the Aerial Delivery work. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax. Responsibilities As an AERIAL DELIVERY SPECIALIST TRAINING LEADER with the Texas National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Plans, develops and validates training. Determines and selects instructional designs, methods and media. Develops training materials to support objectives. Prepares required training and statistical data. Monitors progress and counsels students on performance. Conducts courses covering two or more different areas of the Aerial Delivery work. Performs and prepares performance evaluations on each student in accordance with Plan of Instruction (POI). Upon completion of training, certifies competence level and ensures completion of required documentation. Instructs and evaluates in maintaining, modifying and inspecting on a variety of airdrop equipment such as parachutes, multi loop lines, extraction force transfer couplings, latch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, actuator assembly, release cargo parachute M-1, lanyard arming wire, connector parachute, timer delay assembly, link lower suspension, link assembly single suspension type IV, link assembly heavy duty, link 4 point, parachute release single knife, bracket suspension, and tie down cargo quick release. Performs duties as inspector testers, pack-in-process inspector and final inspector. Performs initial inspection on all parachutes, textile and non-textile components, and airdrop containers. Instructs and evaluates airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops. Performs inspections and repair of cargo, deceleration, and extraction parachutes, and is responsible for certification. Performs Joint Airdrop Inspections as the aerial load inspector. Performs technical order compliance modifications and modifications of parachutes and related items. Maintains an adequate stock level of current aerial delivery system equipment, components, and supplies. Serves as unit representative on the Aerial Delivery Review Panel and as a Joint Airdrop Inspector. May be tasked to attend Malfunction Review Board meetings. Performs trend and predictive analysis and forecasting to determine and meet customer instruction needs. This includes staffing and coordinating within the multi component interagency processes. Required to train all branches of services and interagency members in Aerial Delivery Operations, the fielding of new equipment and applicable procedures in and outside of the work area. Advises supervisor on all issues and problems and develops a point paper to address these issues and recommended solutions to include potential instruction to prevent reoccurrence. Ensures compliance with published instructions, work standards, and technical publications. Formulates comprehensive training plans for all state ARNG/ANG personnel. Conducts on-the-job-training as well as classroom instruction. Orchestrates daily and long-range utilization of the aerial delivery systems to ensure accomplishment/training of assigned missions as well as support for future missions and deployment operations. Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies DOD, Air Force, Army, USMC, Navy, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aeronautical Organization (ICAO), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules and directives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for aerial delivery management and service activities, ensuring that airdrop missions and/or flight safety is not compromised. Performs other additional duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment Factor(s): This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership Texas National Guard (TXNG) and wear of the military uniform. Applicants must be a current member of the Texas National Guard. Military Requirements: Compatible MOS/Branch/AFSC:92R/921A Rank Spread: Enlisted: E-1 (PVT) not to exceed E-8 (MSG) Warrant Officers: W1 (WO1) not to exceed W2 (CW2) Qualifications To qualify at the WL-10 grade level your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting the following: Specialized Experience: Working experience or training of Aerial Delivery Operations and functions sufficient to plan, coordinate, facilitate, and expedite on-time movement of personnel, and airdrop cargo in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. AND Must possess skills and knowledge required to be certified to inspect, test, and perform quality assurance with 100% accuracy on all life support systems. AND Joint Air Inspection and Jump Master qualifications/currency to identify through prescribed inspection processes to eliminate malfunctions that may affect the safety of aircraft/personnel, to ensure a safe and proper drop of personnel and airdrop load from aircraft, and to insure items offered/accepted for transport by air meet proper specifications. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series. AND Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.
