Actalent CNC Manufacturing Engineer in Saginaw, Michigan

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer, CNC

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will execute day-to-day tasks by working closely with machinists to troubleshoot issues. On average, you will manage 75 deviations per week, each requiring detailed documentation and customer approvals. You will be part of a team of engineers on the production floor, overseeing the deviation process. Your role includes understanding manufacturing processes such as grinding, milling, and operating various machines. You will read blueprints to ensure material availability and provide floor support to optimize manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. You will transform raw steel into finished products like ball screws, linear bearings, and profile rails. The shift is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, in person.

Hard Skills

  • 3-5 years of industry experience

  • Blueprint reading

  • Machining experience

  • Siemens NX or Solidworks

  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 knowledge

  • Tooling and fixture design

  • Design review and revision impact analysis

Soft Skills

  • Troubleshooting

  • Documentation planning

  • Customer interfacing

  • Team collaboration

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s) to direct hire.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saginaw, Michigan.

Work Environment

You will work in a plant environment alongside machinists and engineers. You will also interface with customers to confirm the final product.
