GREENLEAF CORPORATION Machine Operator A in Saegertown, Pennsylvania

Summary:  A Machine Operator A sets up, adjusts and operates a variety of machines for the purpose of producing machined tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate a variety of machines, though an "A" Operator generally specializes on one type of machine; grinder, CNC Mill, Manual Mill, etc.
  • Must be able to read and interpret routers, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches and related technical data to determine production tooling requirements.
  • Troubleshooting existing programs and making changes when applicable.
  • Set and adjust machines to perform diversified operations using knowledge of machining practices and techniques, set-up and operating skills.
  • May set up complex fixtures on mills and lathes or complex grinding wheels on surface, cylindrical or form grinders with little to no supervison.
  • Gage and indicate machined characteristics to quality standards.
  • Ensure all tooling is in accordance with print specifications of the part to be produced.
  • Use scales, calipers, micrometers, indicators, sine-plates, planar and depth mics to check work pieces.
  • Must comply with all safety, quality, work rules and regulations.

Hours: 40 - M-F; Day, Evening, Night shifts
