VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department Team. Day and Swing shifts are currently available for this position.

Under one roof, VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center has on-site specialists and offers 24-hour emergency and critical care. It mirrors what you would find at human hospitals. Our veterinarians and board certified specialists work together to provide comprehensive care. Our board certified specials and residency trained doctors are up to date on the very latest developments in their fields of: Anesthesia, Animal Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Emergency/Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology and Surgery. And, they have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques, including: CT, Digital Radiography, Endoscopy, Fluoroscopy, Halcyon, Laparotomy, MRI and Ultrasonography.

We keep growing! We are currently looking for motivated Veterinary Technicians (RVT, LVT, CVT) that enjoy learning, gaining new skills, that genuinely care about pets and their humans for our Day and Swing Shifts in our ER department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the veterinary field (preferably in emergency medicine, but not mandatory), is a good communicator (with people and pets!), a skilled listener (again, people and pets), have medical math understanding and great phlebotomy skills.

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $23 to $28/ hour.
