Sutter Health Manager, Data & Analytics - Epic in Sacramento, California

Position Overview:

This position is available to work from home and also onsite.

Directs all activities related to the administration, implementation, maintenance, and support of Sutter Health's data warehouse, data management, reporting, applications, and Internet and Intranet services. Determines methods for measuring success by establishing metrics that track incidents and tasks related to volume and severity. Also provides strategic and operational consultation on issues related to information reporting systems. Is accountable for the effective deployment of business and analytical information, and makes recommendations based on data analysis. Lastly, directs and manages the development and maintenance of critical report management functions including: specifications, gathering, naming conventions, current report library, formula standards, and adhering to change control standards.

*Extensive knowledge and experience with Epic analytics tools highly desired.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Business Management, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Working knowledge of industry standards and practices in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Extensive knowledge of reporting tools such as: Crystal Reports or Crystal Enterprise.

Working knowledge and understanding of: database management systems, data extraction/transformation/load processes, BI platforms, statistical modeling, and financial modeling.

Solid knowledge of healthcare operations and structure.

Pay Range is $62.95 to $94.42 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
