Fluor, together with its joint-venture partner AECOM, has been awarded a four-year program delivery support services contract for the California High-Speed Rail program by the California High-Speed Rail Authority, to provide program delivery and program management services to support one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S.

The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California's Central Valley.

Having oversight of a specific area and establishing a course of action within limits of company practices and guidelines, the purpose of this position is to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of establishing an execution framework on the project that complies with the contract and ensures the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project. This role assists the Project Manager in the management of the project section through the environmental approval process and preliminary engineering (15%) for project definition. Support the Project Manager in managing the regional consultant, responsible for quality, on-time delivery of environmental clearance documents and preliminary engineering.

• Assists in managing scope, cost, schedule, and budget

• Ensures quality consultant deliverables with the project manager

• Coordinate and attend meetings with local agencies and third parties

• Support the project manager in developing reports, presentations, conducting research, analyses, identifying issues, recommending solutions, identifying, and mitigating project risks.

• Other duties as assigned
