Where the chemistry happens…

Our BASF NA Seed Operations site in Sabin, MN focuses on the commercial development of crop varieties. We are seeking a professional like you to join our team as a Seed Science Operations (SSO) Scientist who will support the Breeding and Trait Development teams to accomplish trait and commercial variety pipeline development by carrying out critical day to day activities as directed by site management.

As a Seed Science Operations (SSO) Scientist - Sabin, MN, You Create Chemistry By...

• Assisting in developing timelines and expectations for team for work instructions including but not limited to seed preparation/ processing, planting, sampling, field plot maintenance and harvest.

• Managing of and physical collection of Field Data including Digital Phenotyping (Drone operation), Data base and software programs.

• Site safety and stewardship management.

• Training and Overseeing responsibilities of part-time and temporary help.

If you have...

• Bachelor’s degree (Agricultural field preferred) plus 4 years of relevant experience.

• Master’s degree (Agricultural field preferred) and 2 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in small plot research, production practices and management of personnel preferred.

• Pesticide Applicators license preferred and Drone pilots’ license or willingness to obtain.
