Adecco US, Inc. Farm Operation Intern in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico
DESCRIPTION
The position will support the Farm manager in the implementation of all farm programs around Agronomic practices, Farm equipment maintenance schedule, and inventory. Comply with EHS, EPA, WPS, and Security programs. Farm operation Intern should work in the day-by-day field work and will organize, prioritize, and execute all agronomic and pest control practices according to the established schedule. Also, will support the implementation of the pest control program following WPS, EHS, and EPA guidelines. Provide and coordinate the support of Sabana Grande T-I and CS project as needed, in the maintenance of the crossing block and all Counter season plantings, harvesting, threshing, lab tasks, and packing, if necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science or Natural Sciences
• Experience in field crop desirable, but not mandatory.
• Basic Pest and Disease knowledge
• Excellent communication, and organization skills.
• Basic English skills reading, writing, and conversation.
• Requires basic mathematic skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a group or independently depending on the case
• Ability to work under the sun
•Flexibility of schedule, the candidate must have availability to work weekends and extra hours if necessary
Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
