Community Care Network is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Interventionist to join our team!

About the Role:

Community Care Network coordinates care across the spectrum of health services, with an emphasis on person-centered and family-centered treatment goals.

The Behavior Interventionist is responsible for providing mental health services, consultation and behavioral intervention to students with autism or other disorders in the school setting. The BI helps students develop social skills, improve their ability to learn in school, and eliminate or reduce negative or disruptive behaviors.?

Responsibilities:

Network with employers throughout Rutland County to develop work opportunities compatible with client goal

Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to students struggling with an emotional disability in a classroom or school setting within the context of an individualized behavior support planning process.

In the least restrictive environment, support student participation in learning by providing emotional and behavioral support in coordination with school personnel.

Maintain services during school vacations and summer to sustain social-emotional and classroom behavior skills.

Collect and assess data to inform treatment and practice decisions and assure treatment fidelity.

Maintain the goal of student transition to the lowest level of care necessary throughout the treatment process.

Attend regular meetings to discuss goal progress and barriers to treatment.

Adhere to the science of applied behavior analysis, trauma informed practices, and family system crisis intervention.

Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with clients, families, referral sources and community partners.

Attend and participate in clinical supervision as well as team, department and agency staff meetings as provided.

Maintain professional standards regarding client rights

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

[]{#Int0D7jrpOQ}Bachelor\'s degree or pursuit of a Bachelor\'s Degree, preferably in human services or relevant experience related to the field.

Previous successful experience working with students with severe physical and aggressive behavior preferred.

Experience or training in how to deal with students with autism preferred.

Current and continuing certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred or willing to be trained.

Must have a valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.

*Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.

Ability to fully implement all aspects of student\'s behavior plan as written.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with students and employees.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others including students at age level of assigned position, including providing direction to other staff.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students and staff.

Ability to collect and interpret student data.

Capable and proven record of reporting to work on a regular and punctual basis.
