Position Summary

The production supervisor is responsible for the leadership of the plant teams in the manufacturing environment, to include the continuous improvement of assigned plant processes/department, short-term planning/execution, achievement of plant accountabilities and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for hourly teammates.

  • Lead team performance and provide feedback to hourly teammates in the major areas of accountability, to include safety, quality, environment, people, cost, and productivity.

  • Monitor and communicate results of department key performance indicators to ensure plant and organizational long-term success.

  • Provide a positive teammate relationship environment for plant teammates.

  • Benchmark, monitor, and implement best practices across manufacturing processes and equipment, both internal and external, for continuous improvement of operational excellence in the department and the plant.

  • Collaborate with plant leadership teams to ensure alignment with strategic intentions to ensure a safe work environment, environmental conformance/compliance, cost management, while providing superior quality products and services to continually improve customer satisfaction managed through a systemic approach.

  • Scope of work extends to leading and managing multiple departments and/or processes. Collaborates with other teams to ensure alignment to strategic intentions to meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Decision Making and Responsibility

  • Execute plant strategic intentions that impact the local facility within the area of responsibility for the position.

  • Ensure line driven safety goals and objectives are achieved.

  • Manage allocated resources to meet the plant objectives throughout the facility, while maintaining alignment with corporate policies and procedures.

  • Work interdependently with other departments to ensure internal and external customer process deliverables/expectations are met or exceeded.

Qualifications

Minimum: 4 years production experience and possess a High School Diploma.

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Preferred: Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant concentration.

Manufacturing experience in production supervision, environmental conformance/compliance, quality, and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; OR 3+ years of relevant experience
