Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas Tube Business (BATB) has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic I, which is a multi-craft maintenance position. Candidate is required to have experience with industrial electrical and control systems utilizing PLCs, HMIs and VFD driven motor systems. Also, required is knowledge and experience maintaining industrial machinery, general pipe fitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, light fabrication and the use of machine shop and hand tools. Candidate must be able to comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

An associate degree with two years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience or vocational training in a maintenance discipline with verifiable experience for a minimum of five years is required.

The successful candidate will receive onsite training of plant rules, safety policies, and environmental regulations and will be required to perform their duties and adhere to those rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

•Installation, repair & maintenance in a manufacturing or field site environment

•Installation, repair, maintenance, dismantle, and movement of large and/or complex industrial equipment

•Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree
