This posting will fill up to three (3) positions.
Provide direct licensed independent clinical mental health services to offenders within DOC facilities. The incumbent can perform assessments, including diagnostic assessments, therapeutic interventions, and treatment planning of offenders. The incumbent consults and advises on program development and is assigned more complex clinical cases.
Work is with incarcerated individuals at Minnesota Correctional Facility in Rush City.
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. - Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LICSW, LP, LPCC, and LMFT) as defined by Minnesota Statute 245.462 subd. 18, clause 1-6.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of professional, legal, and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care.
Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills.
Interpersonal/human relations skills.
Basic personal computer skills.
Ability to formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; provide mental health treatment; and develop a continuing care plan under limited supervision.
Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multidisciplinary team; exercise sound judgement; demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries; and temporarily manage daily program operations.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to provide clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff.
Ability to independently formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; provide behavioral health treatment and clinical supervision; and develop a continuing care plan.
Preferred Qualifications
Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional.
Experience providing clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff
Experience working in a correctional/secured environment.
One year experience post-master’s degree or higher (as defined above) providing mental health clinical services.
Experience working with clients diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
Physical Requirements

Additional Requirements
The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
