  • About the role

  • Provide project management services using accepted industry standard project management practices across a broad range of software deployment, configuration, refinement, and business observability projects. Manage project budgets, approve timecards, and prepare reporting in a timely fashion.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners, internal peers in sales and Customer Experience, and across the Cisco/AppDynamics team. Scope, plan and execute projects with a high degree of professionalism and effective communication. Manage technical delivery resources to ensure they are performing assigned workstreams and reporting their activities accurately. Engage with customer support and engineering teams as needed to ensure an optimal AppD experience.

  • Key responsibilities (What Do You Do?)

  • Manage escalations when they occur and manage customer and account team expectations and build virtual cross-functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Drive continuous improvement, document successes and lessons learned.

  • Generate weekly reports for customers which clearly communicate status, completed actions, and future planning in support of successful outcomes resulting in revenue expansion and superlative customer satisfaction.

Familiarity with Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office is highly desirable.

  • A basic understanding of software development and development methodologies including Agile/Scrum and DevOps is desirable.

  • Basic understanding of Distributed Architecture and Cloud-based application approaches leveraging VMware, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud are a plus but not a requirement.

  • Experience and familiarity with AppDynamics or other APM tools is a plus but not a requirement.

Critical Experiences (What experiences do you Need?)

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for marketing or strategic management/planning fields

  • Deep experience in at least one practice area: experience design, design research, design thinking, service design, services product marketing

  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits and tell a concise, compelling story.

  • Excellent skills and talent for communications in all forms, including verbal, written, visual, presentations, websites.

  • Self-sufficient in preparing content, collateral, and presentations. Must have the ability to craft a compelling story and build presentations to deliver the message.

  • Excellent management, relationship-building, and general "people" skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders within Product Management, Support, Engineering, etc

  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
