Corewell Health RN Manager Clinical Operations in Royal Oak, Michigan

Corewell Health McBrien Pediatric Neuroscience Center

The center treats headaches, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders and sleep disorders, among other conditions. The center is also home to a Level 4 pediatric epilepsy center, one of only forty-four pediatric-specific epilepsy centers in the country approved by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.

The space includes a large waiting area, twenty-five exam rooms, consult rooms and a collaborative workspace for staff. Several patient families participated in the design and layout of the center including the child-friendly décor with a fish and animal theme. The design of the center supports the family centered approach that is at the core of our identity.

This RN Manager Clinical Operations collaborating with the Director Operations, will lead a team of approximately twenty-five built of RNs, MAs, BOAs, genetic counselors, and neuropsychologists.

Scope of work

Supervises and trains office support staff and clinical personnel to ensure optimal patient process flow and serves as a liaison between physicians and clinical staff in daily operations. This RN Manager oversees charge processing, A/R follow up, cash processing, patient flow, maintenance of scheduling system and patient medical records. Develops and implements policies, process improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Additional scope of this position will be determined by leadership according to defined leveling criteria.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.

  • (4) years of direct staff supervisory experience, preferably in a customer-service or healthcare field Required.

  • A minimum of (4) years of relevant healthcare experience Preferred.

  • Experience utilizing an electronic health record system Preferred.

  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Saving (BLS) Required.
