Job Summary
Provides leadership and oversight of designated area assigned within the ambulatory infusion department. Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental/corporate objectives. Serves as an extension of the management team and supports management by providing supervision, guidance, and support for all assigned areas. Participates in employee management activities for direct reports. Ensures department and personnel compliance with current regulations.
Essential Functions
Supervises day to day activities of the ambulatory infusion department including (but not limited to) shifting staff to address changes in activity, problem resolution, technology, staff productivity and adherence to policy.
Oversees and manage designated areas of responsibilities.
Participates in the scheduling of ambulatory infusion and ambulatory infusion pharmacy staff including (but not limited to) schedule development, completion of daily assignments and/or staffing changes for sick/call-in coverage.
Manages personnel activities for direct reports including (but not limited to) hiring, corrective action, and performance reviews.
Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of projects related to pharmacy and medication use throughout the institution. Participate in the development and review of policy and procedures.
Assures regulatory compliance and monitor financial performance of designated pharmacy areas.
Serves as part of the management team to achieve goals of the institution.
Participates in groups and/or committees as assigned.
Additional duties (including staffing responsibilities) as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree Pharm.D. or Bachelor degree in pharmacy (residency training preferred).
4 years of pharmacist experience (or equivalent) with some supervisory experience. Preferred
LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
