Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manager 2 . This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
Provide the leadership necessary to promote quality into the product through-out the software development life cycle for the Sentinel program.
Manage and guide a team of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineers to their full potential.
Lead your SQA team to excellence by sharing your knowledge of the software processes and tools.
Support your SQA manager in strategic planning activities.
Support your manager during any absence or unavailability.
Help communicate/promote SQAs role to the community.
Provide presentation materials and present to all levels of leadership, as needed.
Provide status reports to management.
Provide training opportunities to your team.
Lead SQA team meetings.
Communicate goals and measure the success of team members.
Work under the leadership of the program Software Quality Assurance (SQA) manager, working together to build a high-performing organization.
Collaborate with all Mission Assurance and Engineering stakeholders, including the customer.
Ensure the development and implementation of a robust Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP)
Manage within the schedule and budget constraints.
Provide senior technical oversight for problem resolution activities, root cause analysis and preventive/corrective action implementation.
Lead and participate in the continuous improvement of SQA command media, procedures, work instructions, tools, metrics, and training materials.
Refine best practices and expand program cross sharing to elevate program performance and growth.
Perform analysis and trending of software metrics. Report software metrics to stakeholders.
Hire and retain top talent to meet program SQA staffing requirements while managing direct and indirect budgets.
Manage team members in multiple security classifications, multiple locations and with different experience levels.
Conduct employee performance management and development reviews, ensure proper timecard reporting, provide technical oversight, and encourage employee engagement.
Travel to other sites where other team members are located or travel to support other events, as required.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant professional experience in Software, Software Quality, Mission Assurance; 4 years with a Masters; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Experience working within an Agile environment (fast-paced/incremental development/delivery) with focus on first time quality.
1 year experience leading a project (Agile preferred) including driving performance against schedule.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Cameo/Rhapsody, DOORS, Gitlab.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Knowledge of software development tools and quality/status analysis tools for metrics.
Familiar with Java/C/C++ development and/or front-end web development including JavaScript and Python.
Full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the processes, plans, standards, and industry practices.
5+ years of experience within a Agile Software Development group as a manager, lead, Scrum Master or Product Owner
DevOps or DevSecOps knowledge
Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP)
Certified Software Quality Analyst/Manager
Experience in CMMI and AS9100 appraisals and process area audits
Experience with Software Change Management (SCM).

Salary Range: $122,800 - $184,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
