Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer . This position will be located at Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The successful candidate will support element level software coding & development which includes:

  • Software Design, develop, and unit testing software code.

  • Experienced in telemetry and data processing

  • Technical experience in software, computer hardware and network, interconnection and/or interfacing technologies

  • Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers and lab tester to ensure test requirements are met

  • Develop and release engineering documentation including:

  • Perform Model Based System Engineering data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build.

  • Interface with Hardware-In-The- Loop testers and systems engineers in support of verification.

  • Software integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.

  • Generation of CDRLs, software design description documents and diagrams.

  • Experience in AGILE SW Development and test automation principles.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Software Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study; 1 year with Masters, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

  • Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 3 Years with Masters; 0 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a re-investigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

  • U.S. Citizen and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Experience with C++ or Python and object-oriented programming concepts.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.

  • Experience in software development in C/C++, Python, Linux

  • Experience with AGILE Software development processes.

  • Experience with Atlassian Tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab, etc.

  • Knowledge of test concepts: automation, data capture, reporting

  • Security+ (or higher) Certification

Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900

Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
