Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Associate/ Configuration Data Management Analysts for the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division Engineering and Manufacturing team. This role will be in Roy, UT and will provide enabling support for all business areas within the SDS portfolio. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. This position may be filled at an Associate level or Configuration Analyst level based on qualifications listed below.

What You'll Get To Do

This role will report to operating Segment Configuration Management / Data Management, and Program Change Engineering Lead and will work directly with Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM-PCE) Leadership in a wide array of tasks associated with both configuration and data management disciplines. These tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Support CM and DM Governance and Planning activities.

  • Support the development and maintenance of Configuration Management and Data Management tools.

  • Administer change processes and ensuring changes are documented in accordance with program requirements.

  • Control technical baselines and coordinate the development and maintenance of the systems, tools, and environments they are stored in.

  • Generate reports that provide the status of Configured items, and the maturity of technical baselines.

  • Administer Data management Sub-Contractor data ingest and USG contract transmittal activities.

  • Administer Configuration audit activities for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for ensuring program data has been approved, distributed, and managed appropriately in accordance with company, sector, and program approved processes.

  • Administer Data Management principles on CDRL and SDRL information within SharePoint, Teamcenter, and other tooling to ensure data integrity through audit processes.

  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to communicate with the prime customer and supplier personnel, to support submittals and delivery activities.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Ability - Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.

  • Problem Solving - Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.

  • Discretion/Latitude - Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Impact - Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.

  • Liaison - Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

Availability: This position is on a 9/80 schedule and must be able to support core hours of 8:00 - 4:00 MST and occasional surge operations.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

This position may be filled at an Associate level or Configuration Analyst level

  • Associate Configuration Analyst level: Must have 1 year of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years of experience in lieu of education

  • Configuration Analyst level: Must have 3 years with a Bachelor's degree; 1 year with a Master's degree; or 7 years of experience may be considered in lieu of education

  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain special program access (SAP)

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with PLM, MRP, or Shop Floor Instruction systems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

  • Experience with document reviews to include classification markings, data rights markings, dispositioning, and other DoD related content.

  • Knowledge and experience of both Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) and Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) processes.

  • Knowledge and understanding of development of Data Management products (i.e., Data Accession Lists (DAL), metrics, Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) schedules or Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) schedules.

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, CPLM, or other PLM System, Siemens NX, JIRA, SharePoint design and access controls, SAP

  • Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems

  • Knowledge of Configuration management practices EIA-649-1, or MIL-HDBK-61

  • Knowledge of Data management practices GEIA-859

  • Current Active Top-Secret Clearance.

  • Experience with document reviews to include classification markings, data rights markings, dispositioning, and other DoD related content.

  • Knowledge and experience of both Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) and Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) processes.

  • Knowledge and understanding of development of Data Management products (i.e., Data Accession Lists (DAL), metrics, Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) schedules or Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) schedules.

Salary Range: $51,400 - $77,200

Salary Range 2: $62,200 - $93,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
