Electrical Senior Principal Design Engineer

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve

As an Electrical Senior Principal Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering new Printed Circuit Board Assemby (PCBA) technologies and logic solutions that scale across our next-generation enterprise portfolio. You will work with a deeply technical and dynamic team of electrical engineers as well as cross-functional global teams to innovate and deliver game-changing products in our server marketspace!

You will:

  • Be part of a collaborative and energized Electrical Engineering (EE) team to develop innovative solutions

  • Design next-generation electrical features in partnership with front end teams and industry partners

  • Drive feature and cost trade-off analysis to provide technical recommendations

  • Provide design guidance to enable and support global teams

Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years’ related experience or equivalent skill

  • Expertise in enterprise product development from early concept through production

  • Proven competency in both analog and digital design

  • Proficiency with EE design and simulation tools

  • Deep knowledge of PCB layout design practices

Desirable Requirements

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Knowledgeable in x86 architecture; industry knowledge of AI HW requirements and design targets; experience with Cadence tool suite

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role in is $159,800 to $206,800.
