Position Description
The Department of Marketing in the McCoy College of Business invites applications at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction effective fall 2025. This full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month appointment presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students through both teaching and service.
Duties include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate marketing courses with a preference given to teaching Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Management, and other courses as needed and providing service to the profession, the department, McCoy College, the University, and the business community consistent with the College mission.
Teaching may occur in San Marcos, the Round Rock campus, or online and will be determined as needed. This is not a fully remote position.
This position is subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
A graduate or doctoral degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Interest in teaching marketing at the undergraduate and graduate level.
More than 5 years of industry experience in marketing or related fields.
Evidence of sustained professional engagement in marketing or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate or doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited or EQUIS -accredited institution
University-level teaching experience
Evidence of outstanding teaching accomplishments and experience teaching in marketing at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, i.e., documentation of teaching performance and/or ratings of instructions
Experience in curriculum development, including embedding technology into courses
More than 10 years of industry experience in marketing or related fields
Prior experience teaching multiple marketing courses
