General Dynamics Information Technology Software Developer Lead in Roswell, Georgia

Job Family: Software Development

We are looking for a Software Development Lead that will lead a team of software developers in performing complex analysis, design, development, testing and delivery of software applications. The Software Development Lead will work along with other team members to design and develop various software components and web based applications.

The Software Development Lead will conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis, design, development and testing.

  • Represent and lead client meetings regarding development status and updates on a continuous basis

  • Drives the architecture of software applications based on user requirements and functionality

  • Develops and enforces software development processes and procedures

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure design principles are followed

  • Take ownership of ensuring proper testing occurs prior to software releases

  • Continuously strive for improvements to existing software applications, systems and services


Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience(Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area is preferred)

  • 10+ years of solid experience with full life-cycle software development

  • Extensive experience with various technologies such as (Java & Spring, C# and .NET, Node.js, React)

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage technical resources at various skill levels

  • Experience with product roadmaps and executing client implementations

  • In depth knowledge of developing applications in a Microservice architecture

  • Experience developing and managing Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud environments

  • Experience with DevOps tools, Automation & Containerization

  • Experience working in an Agile development team

  • Experience leading, coaching and mentoring less junior developers

  • Superior technical documentation skills

  • CI/CD best practices
