Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Roseville is open 24 hours a day and is staffed by a team of highly skilled, compassionate veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are extensively trained in emergency medicine and intensive care. We are on the hunt for an overnight experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!
About the Job: As a Veterinary Technician in the ICU department will be responsible for:
Provide nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring consistent evaluation and monitoring
Demonstrate proficiency in advanced hospitalization care and continuous rate infusions (CRIs)
Perform in-house laboratory procedures
Skillfully place intravenous (IV) catheters
Conduct accurate and detailed patient rounds
Safely restrain fractious and frightened patients
Obtain temperature, pulse, and respiration (TPR) measurements and maintain medical records
Recognize situations requiring immediate attention from a veterinarian
Act as an advocate for both the patient and the client
Other duties as assigned
Our compensation for this role typically falls between $15.75 and $30.25 . Compensation is based on skills & experience.
$2,000 bonus for new full-time employees
Schedule:
3/12 hr. shifts Thursday-Saturday
Overnight shift- differential offered
About You:

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in an animal hospital setting required.
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
