We’re looking for energetic and detail-oriented individuals to join our Bakehouse Packaging Crew. As a key part of our production team, you’ll ensure that our baked goods are perfectly packaged and ready for delivery to our customers. Bakehouse Packaging, Prep and Sanitation
Sanitizes work areas, sinks, worktables, walls, and refrigerator/freezer according to MN DOH standards
Package all gluten free baked items as directed (by hand or with bag/carton sealer/shrink wrap)
Print nutritional labels and label finished products. Audit for accuracy.
Test finished products for gluten cross-contamination on a weekly basis
Keep and file accurate records of daily recipes
Provide accurate records of incoming kitchen ingredients
Clean work areas, equipment and utensils; segregate and remove garbage and clean garbage containers
Follow food preparation/food handling sanitation procedures in compliance with MN DOH regulations
As requested, assist with kitchen prep work including, but not limited to: scooping, deep frying etc.
Business Operations, Safety and Compliance
Alert Management of potential theft or other emergencies
Wash dishes according to established guidelines
Maintain kitchen in sanitary and orderly condition following guidelines
Clean up spills immediately and take out trash after shift
Follow Bakehouse safety, storage and labeling procedures
Advise Bakehouse Management of equipment repair and replacement needs
Participate in periodic inventory counts
Attend Bakehouse staff meetings and other assigned training requirements
Perform any other duty as assigned by Management Team
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
Must be 18+
English proficiency
Detail oriented and able to remain flexible to the changing needs of the business
Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
Regular, predictable attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous related experience
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds frequently; 30-50+ pounds occasionally
Manual dexterity with ability to reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers for extended periods of time
Mid-to-general range visual acuity to evaluate and interact in working environment and occasionally operate bakehouse equipment and appliances safely
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
Regular exposure to refrigerated/frozen and hot/humid environments
Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and bend occasionally required
Ability to be exposed to, work with, and directly handle dietary allergies
Ability to work safely with sanitation supplies
