HARIBO of America Trade Marketing Manager in Rosemont, Illinois

HARIBO is hiring a Trade Marketing Manager to join our team of Trade Marketing Managers, to support our marketing and sales functions as we continue to grow the HARIBO of America business. Reporting up to the Director of Trade Marketing, this role acts as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and other internal cross-functional collaboration with finance, supply chain, commercialization, and other internal stakeholders.  As a member of the Trade Marketing team, the Trade Marketing Manager execute plans that bring HARIBO strategies to life in the retail market place that enable our sales and business development team to drive sales plans and promotions.

The Trade Marketing Manager role is ideal for candidates with prior CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods experience in territory or field sales roles who are now looking to gain corporate office HQ experience with the long-term career goal of moving into a regional or national account management sales and business development role in the future. This is an individual contributor role based on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Marketing and Sales functions to help bring HARIBO’s strategies to life in the retail marketplace

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Sales Finance, Commercialization and other internal teams to execute promotional strategies for our retailers

  • Create and develop fact-based Selling Stories, Sales Sheets, One Pagers, and Read To Sell (RTS) materials and other materials for key retail customer meetings and trade shows

  • Identify opportunities to improve national promotions focused at the retail level

  • Work on multiple different projects and promotions simultaneously, project management supporting trade marketing promotions for assigned retail channels that may include grocery, food, mass, specialty, dollar, and convenience channels

  • Assist in planning, development, and presentation of sales and brand materials

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the consumer goods or corporate retail industry

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

  • Prior experience using IRI, Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, SPINS, or other forms of syndicated data in the consumer goods and or retail industry

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior sales and business development experience

  • Desired future career path in regional or national sales and business development roles

  • Desire to understand how corporate functions support the external sales and retail promotions

  • Prior CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods experience in territory or field sales roles who are now looking to gain corporate office HQ experience with the long-term career goal of moving into a regional or national account management sales and business development role in the future.

  • Experience with FMCG – Fast Moving Consumer Goods, ideally candy, confectionary, snacks, or other similar goods

    Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
