Become a Project Management Office Support, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will be the key resource for the Corporate Security PMO to manage its large portfolio of projects and provide support for project managers for resource coordination, project budget management, training, vendor management, reporting and various ancillary duties required to initiate, complete, and close out projects. This position will be responsible for research and analyze sophisticated data and make recommendations in support of major programs and projects and to present findings to senior and executive management.
Key focus of role:
Reports & Analysis : Review and update reports, documents or correspondence. Data, Portfolio, and heavy financial analysis. This will include performing cost-benefit and trend analysis for assigned programs and projects and for the larger portfolio.
Research : Gather documents, analyze and draw conclusions on complex data and information after considering alternatives through independent research and analysis.
PMO Support : Assist project managers and management for coordination of project efforts, Ariba purchase requisitions and purchase orders, resources, financials and reporting for projects within portfolio.
Project Analysis : Consult and recommend establishing and changing project direction to management on specific projects and/or the portfolio of projects or strategic efforts.
Training : Facilitate training for key programs and coordinate, and track all compliance and safety training requirements for team members and supplier resources.
Communication : Establishes and maintains constant communications with PMO suppliers to collect data on frequent and regular cadence.

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation including plans, status reports, and process files
Independently manages certain project management activities for complex projects with variable interdependencies and tight deadlines
Recommends and implements various project management methodologies to adapt to changing priorities
Conducts in-depth analysis of project data, identifies risks/issues, and provides actionable status reports
Leads requirements definition, solution analysis, estimate development, and planning efforts
Maintains rigorous project document control standards throughout project lifecycles
Develops and maintains detailed risk registers, change logs, and issue resolution tracking
Performs complex scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with project support analyzing data and developing reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of experience working with SAP and Ariba.
Experience working in the construction industry or utility industry (ideally the electric utility industry)
Project Management training certification from an accredited institution.
Six Sigma training certification.
Five (5) or more years of experience in an analytical position.
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and Sharepoint.
Experience using Excel, including advanced formulas and functions, such as Vlookups and pivot tables.
Bachelors' degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Engineering, or related field.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with project management tools and methods to manage single and multiple projects of moderate to high complexity, gather information, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery.
Experience in Project Support or Project Management.
Experience in Program Management, Business Development, Business Transformation, and/or Process Improvement methodologies.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
