Become an IT Field Support, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will be vital in supporting craft personnel constructing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical assets! We work to maintain the smooth day-to-day operations of SCE Transmission and Distribution (T&D) employees who are responsible for providing uninterrupted electrical service to the community. We offer critical 24/7 support and deployment services and maintain crucial applications.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  1. Provide support and accomplish work through the application of technical skills and expertise in IT infrastructure including the physical network (e.g., WAN/LAN, servers) as well as server applications and software (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle).

  2. Provide onsite technical support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, mainframes) including collaborating with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development in order to restore service and/or identify problems.

  3. Provide domain expertise to various projects, initiatives and requests when required with regards to IT Field tools and applications.

  4. Partner with the organization during emergency deployment of stand-up yards and locations during Incident Management events as declared by the Organization.

  5. Identify current and future state business needs, conduct in-depth analysis of technical issues, craft or identify hardware or software solutions and present recommendations.

The essentials

  • Five or more years of experience supporting enterprise technical applications.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical field

  • ITIL 4.0 experience and/or certification.

  • Experience with IT Service Management and Incident Management.

  • Experience with developing process improvements and pro-active service recommendations.

  • Bi-lingual Spanish

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
