ADP is hiring a Senior Director of SRE and Devops.

In this role, you will lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Development professionals responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of ADP's cloud-based platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and product management, to design and implement solutions that meet our clients' needs. Your role will be pivotal in driving automation, continuous improvement, and resilience in our systems.

To thrive in this role, you need extensive experience leading SRE or DevOps teams, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and large-scale system design. You have a track record of delivering robust and efficient systems that handle millions of transactions daily. You also possess strong leadership skills and are adept at guiding teams through complex technical challenges.

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Strategic Leadership: You'll set the vision and direction for the SRE and Development teams, ensuring alignment with ADP's business goals. Your leadership will drive the continuous evolution of our cloud platforms, focusing on reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Collaboration: You'll collaborate with product owners, developers, and operations teams to design and implement scalable and resilient solutions. Your input will be critical in defining the architecture and infrastructure that supports our global client base.

  • Technical Excellence: You'll ensure that the SRE and Development teams follow best practices in coding, automation, and continuous delivery. You'll be involved in critical design decisions, and your expertise will guide the team in resolving complex technical issues.

  • Problem Solving: You'll lead efforts to diagnose and resolve system issues, focusing on root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes. Your ability to think creatively and drive innovation will be key in addressing challenges related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Mentorship: You'll foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Your leadership will help develop the next generation of engineering talent at ADP.

  • Experience: You'll have 15+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

  • Technical Expertise: You'll have in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture is essential.

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are a must. You should be able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $122,400.00 - $328,140.00 / Year
