Stony Brook Medicine (Stony Brook University Hospital) TH Instructional Support Associate - Peri-Operative Services in Ronkonkoma, New York

Position Summary

At Stony Brook Medicine the TH Instructional Support Associate - Peri-Operative Services will work as an administrative analyst for Peri-operative Business Manager.

Duties of a TH Instructional Support Associate - Peri-Operative Services may include the following but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate Periop Meetings for committees, Vendors, Internal Staff and outside agencies.
  • Prepares various letters, memos, notices, correspondence, minutes for required meetings.
  • Prepares monthly Peri-operative reports (including but not limited to: NSDIQ quarterly reports, FMR monthly report, Peri-op stats report, donor report, and solucient quarterly reports) for meetings and as requested for Surgical Compass.
  • Creates statistical analysis to show areas of growth or areas needing improvement.
  • Assists in creating presentations and graphs to be used for Executive Meetings.
  • Creates forecasting models to anticipate changes in spending patterns based on growth areas and physician recruitment.
  • Creates reports to monitor department budgets daily.
  • Assist in departmental capital planning and maintain Capital Budget Worksheets to ensure equipment is procured and received in a timely manner.
  • Assist in planning POS division budgeting & planning spanning all aspects of the POS.
  • Creates adhoc reports to be used for support for budget adjustments and to explain variances.
  • Creates and maintains a monthly dashboard for Periop services to be used at monthly executive meetings to show volume trends by physician, department, and location.
  • Creates reports from Lawson showing spending trends and cost analysis.
  • Assists the Periop Materials Management Department with analysis of orders and backorder issues.
  • Helps the Periop Materials Management Department place orders as needed.
  • Create and Maintain the Tissue Tracking Database and send out letters to the surgeons and keeps correspondence for compliance.
  • Create Quarterly reports for Tissue Tracking presentation to Infection Control Committee.
  • Works with the Business Manager on adhoc projects that come up during the year.

This position will be located in Ronkonkoma.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Ability to multitask in a high paced environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred: Master's degree. Prior experience with Lawson & Cerner and Surginet.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $59,160 - $66,045 / year.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition, all UUP positions have an additional $3,087 for location,
