Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Pay Rate-$23-25

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs routine electro-mechanical assembly operations on components or subassemblies of moderate complexity. Assembles housings and chassis for electronic units to meet production schedules and performance standards. Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, verbal/written instructions and hand tools to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units

• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature

• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner

• Understands and follows all safety requirements

• Understands and follows practices and procedures

• Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.

• Other duties as assigned

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical assembly skills

  • Ability to use hand tools

  • Ability to read technical assembly documentation

  • Basic PC knowledge

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

Soft Skills

  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment

  • Models positive and professional work ethics

  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ronkonkoma, New York.

Work Environment

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast-paced. Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of hand tools. Overtime may be required in times of increased production or service repairs.
