As a Procurement Category Manager , you will lead, validate, and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for Nescafé Dolce Gusto Machines. This strategy aims to deliver significant business values through growth and innovation, competitiveness, sustainability development and risk management. The Category Manager is accountable for driving the end-to-end spend management within his scope. The Category Manager will be responsible for managing all relationships with coffee machine manufacturers, leading negotiation, selection process, driving supplier management & improvement activities. The goal is to ensure a seamless supply chain guaranteeing high-quality and competitive products, while adhering to the Nestlé Standardized Procurement Model.
The Procurement Category Manager will maintain close relationships with Nescafé Dolce Gusto and System Technology Center stakeholders to ensure an aligned and early involvement of all Procurement activities and new product with the Business.
A Day in the Life of a Procurement Category Manager:
• Lead the development of the Sourcing Strategy in joint collaboration with Nescafé Dolce Gusto and STC (System Technology Center).
• Develop market intelligence, supplier assessment and profiling analysis, risk management and mitigations.
• Define synergies between businesses and develop Total Delivered Cost (TDC).
• Provide Category recommendations and validate roadmap with business stakeholders.
• Prepare and execute negotiation events seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Confirm scale of contribution, report and deliver on category target, managing maximum value creation.
• Ensure supply by selecting the right suppliers for the spend category, handle all Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) taking supplier development and management actions.
• Ensure the agreed service level with internal stakeholders and provide Category direction to influence pertinent strategy and decisions in the Business.
What will make you successful:
• Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
• Solid experience and demonstrated proficiency in Procurement in above market or large market structures.
• Ability to manage complex projects in complex environment and operating across multiple countries.
• Excellent business writing and speaking skills, ability to convince and influence others.
• Advanced negotiation skills to develop win/win situations with key suppliers.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• System and software skills.
