About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant – Income Auditor to join us at Jumeirah Capri Palace. The role will produce daily reports and reconciles all the revenues against cash banked and accounts receivable movements for each day as well as ensure that all revenues are recorded and reported on a daily basis and all control procedures are in place relating to the income process.

Key responsibilities :

  • Preparation of Income Audit Compliance Dashboard.

  • Controls dockets used in all outlets, maintaining correct sequence used at all times, accounting for dockets and making sure cancelled dockets are recorded accordingly.

  • Controls all food and beverage sales by correct recording of guest checks on a timely basis, spot checks on outlet checks used, having all voided checks, corrections and unsettled checks approved by the Restaurant Supervisor or Manager.

  • Preparation of F&B Exception Reports Spot Check Dashboard.

  • Ensure banquet controls are being adhered to.

  • Posts statistical journal entry on a daily basis.

  • Reconciles total outlet sales to total charges.

  • Reconciles total SPA and Retail shop to total charges.

  • Ensures all rebates and miscellaneous charges are supported by documentation detailing the charges. All rebate credits must be in accordance with Finance Policy. The rebate credits, miscellaneous charges and paid outs must be summarized and sent to the Finance Manager/DOF and General Manager for review daily

  • Ensure that programs involving coupons, certificates, and vouchers are adequately controlled and safeguards are in place.

  • Audits daily collection of the General Cashiers Summary against the bank in slip

  • Audits and reconciles advance payments and ensures payments have been applied.

  • Works with General Cashier to check all float totals regularly and keeps control on registers in outlets.

  • Spot check each outlet once a week.

  • Prepare a Food & Beverage tips statement on a monthly basis.

  • Count all house banks on spot check basis at least once a month.

  • Prepare department admin calls summary on a monthly basis.

  • Paid out/Refund voucher to be forwarded to FM/DOF for approval.

  • Ensure that the discount policies are followed correctly in F&B.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word)

  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook

  • Basic Accounting Qualification

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Meeting assigned deadlines

  • Time management skills

  • Minimum of one year experience in Hospitality Industry in the same position
